Ingredients
2 large cooked chicken breasts, sliced or shredded
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large flour tortillas
2 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil or butter for searing
Instructions
1. Make the garlic sauce
In a small skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.
2. Build the wraps
Lay out the tortillas and spread a generous spoonful of the garlic sauce onto each one. Layer with sliced or shredded chicken, then top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Be sure to keep the filling toward the center to make wrapping easier.
3. Wrap them up
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from bottom to top to form a wrap. Make sure the seam is on the bottom so it stays secure while cooking.
4. Toast to perfection
Heat a bit of olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Flip carefully to get an even toast all around. The cheese inside should be fully melted and gooey.
5. Slice and serve
Remove from the skillet and let rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing in half. Serve hot with extra garlic sauce or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
Cooking Tips & Notes
For even more flavor, use grilled or roasted chicken seasoned with paprika, cumin, or your favorite spice blend. Leftover rotisserie chicken also works perfectly.
Make sure not to overfill the wraps—too much filling can cause them to tear or become difficult to seal.
Toasting the wraps in butter gives them an extra golden, crispy exterior, but olive oil is a lighter option that still gets great results.
You can make the garlic sauce in advance and refrigerate it for up to 3 days, making these wraps even quicker to assemble.
Add sautéed onions, spinach, or roasted red peppers inside for an extra layer of texture and nutrition.
